Douglas joined Adams & Remers in 2006 and advises on company and business sales and acquisitions, private equity transactions and management buy-outs. He also advises on shareholder and partnership agreements and other joint venture arrangements, corporate governance and general company law.

Douglas has a particular specialism in the healthcare sector and regularly advises on both the acquisition and sale of retail pharmacies and care homes.

Transactions on which Douglas has advised include:

• acting for Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership in relation to a £5m+ acquisition and development loan (reported)
• advising on the sale of a portfolio of five solar farm projects across south-east England
• acting for Waremoss Limited in relation to its acquisition of retail pharmacies
• acting for the shareholders of Woodcote Software Limited on the sale of that company to Dillistone plc, an AIM-listed company
