Leasehold Enfranchisement
Leasehold enfranchisement is a fancy name for tenants’ statutory rights to extend their long residential leases.
Leasehold enfranchisement is the legal right for residential leaseholders to extend their lease. When leaseholders act together, they may also have the right to buy the freehold of their building from the landlord. This is known as collective enfranchisement.
We act for both landlords and leaseholders. We guide you through the process from start to finish, including whether you qualify, what steps need to be taken, when to involve a valuer, and how to secure the best result.
We have experience with a wide range of properties, from single flats to large residential developments.
